Guidelines for Firearms

Do we accept firearms on any Cebu Pacific Route? 

  • No, we are not yet ready to accept firearms, ammunition, or any weapons for international flights due to the following reasons: 
    • We do not yet have a process for handling such items for regional flights in the Cebu Pacific Cargo Operations Manual. 
    • We do not have the required regulatory permits or clearances to carry firearms and ammunition on international flights. 

Requirements for Firearms (unloaded) on Domestic Route: 

If the Shipper is/are: 

A. Gun Dealers/Suppliers 

  • Permit to Transport Firearms and Ammunition from PNP Firearms and Explosive Division. 
  • Application for Firearms License or Firearms License Card from PNP Firearms and Explosive Division. 

B. Active members of AFP/PNP/NBI and other law enforcement agencies Government issued firearms 

  • Valid service / agency ID. 
  • Valid Memorandum Receipt / Acknowledgement Receipt Equipment. 
  • Valid Mission Order/Letter Order. 

C. Owner(s) of licensed firearm and/or a gun club member/s 

  • Valid firearms license. 
  • Valid ID (Driver’s license, Postal ID, Passport etc.) to establish his/her identity. 
  • Valid Permit to carry firearms outside of the residence. 
  • Valid permit to transport firearms and ammunitions for firearms not covered by Permit to carry firearms outside of residence. 
  • Permit to transport firearms and ammunition for gun club members. 

D. Security Agency Personnel / Company Guard 

  • Valid ID Driver’s license, Postal ID, SAGSD ID. 
  • Valid firearms license. 
  • Permit to transport firearms and ammunitions for security agencies and company guard forces. 

Important notes: 

  • The firearm must be unloaded from ammunition. 
  • The firearm must be in a hard-sided container or in crate. 
  • The container must be locked. A locked container is defined as one that completely secures the firearm from being accessed. Locked cases that can be pulled open with little effort cannot be accepted. 
  • In case firearms are packed in crate, ensure that packing must secure the firearms cannot be easily accessed. 
  • The package must have labels and markings that are durable, readily visible and legible
